It was one of those films known that it would fail even before being made. I've rated the rebooted 'Fantastic Four' better than this. I am not a 'Power Rangers' fan, but I was looking forward to it. Expected to be a decent, not this low. The major issue with the film was the story. What the heck! All the superhero films have this same platform. That's really boring. Even that's how the real 'Power Rangers' is, does not matter, it should have been re-wrote completely. Just like they had updated the costumes from cloths to metal armours.

As usual, the actors are not to be blamed. Those young guys did good. Direction, not bad too. The graphic, nothing new or that impressive. If we observe closely all the CGI shot, they do not look fine, especially if you know all this stuff like an animator or something. The villain was weak. But the entire film was like just an introduction. They had held up everything till the last quarters to bring all together and make a massive stand off between the good and the bad.

Maybe it could work for kids. Those who liked Marvel and DC superhero films would only find it a trash. The best thing about the film is, it is watchable, despite everything are familiar and predictable. I'm not in favour of a sequel, but surely they will make one. And that's result would decide the franchise's future, which I think has a slim chance against those superhero films that already bagged the large sum of fans to its pocket. As I said, the remaining one are children, who are upcoming generation. So if the filmmakers target them, even the adults would sit quiet and watch without whining.

Power Rangers (2017) This is a superhero film based on the original franchise of the same name. Six interplanetary warriors are tasked with protecting life on Earth and the Zeo Crystal. It stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks. It met with mixed reviews and was labelled a box office disappointment. Sequels were in consideration, but due to the underwhelming performance, it may be unlikely. However, sequels are still possible, thanks to record-breaking merchandise sales. The film makers failed to understand that you can't just bank on a franchise name that's nearly twenty five years old. You still need to develop a story and offer character development. Especially if you want to produce a new generation of fans. I enjoyed this film, but they definitely could have addressed these points to create a far superior product. The savings in casting could have easily been utilized for this purpose. This was a decent one off teen action flick, but lacked the quality to spawn a fresh franchise.

First off, I consider myself a pretty easy going young parent. I'm 27 and while I try to keep my child innocent I'm far from living under a rock. OK so, my son recently turned 6 and has taken an interest in the power rangers. I was so excited to share something from my childhood and had high hopes for this movie. Unfortunately, this movie is absolute garbage. It's clear that Hollywood is trying to poison the minds of our children (surprise surprise, with all their vile pedophilia coming to the forefront). The first scene was literally a joke about jerking off a bull. It added nothing to the movie, tied into nothing else in the movie, but they just had to include that perverted joke. There were many sexual references through the movie, foul language, and the characters were horrible role models. Nothing like the power rangers when I was a kid.

If that wasn't bad enough the movie is SO BORING! It dragged on for nearly 2 hours then ended with a weak fighting scene. Luckily my son lost interest within the first 15 minutes so he didn't catch all the filth in this movie.

Save your self money and 2 hours of your life that you can never get back and avoid this lousy movie.

Those who just want to see Power Ranger Morphin Time and some action will be fine with this. I certainly was very entertained. And they even tried to give each of them a backstory and something unique - except the yellow ranger girl, who is so amazingly plane with no real issues or character trades except to be the gay one. Having a loving family must be hard on her...

The girls in this movie are really left out and even totally look the same. The first 20 Minutes I actually thought they would be one and the same person. Both dark hair, same length, same eye color, same pretty face. I was actually confused when the five of them stood together and asked myself "Who is that other girl!?" She just appears out of nowhere without character introduction whatsoever.

The movie does a good job combining cool looks and usual Power Ranger cheese. No masterpiece but quite entertaining.
